New clinical trial in Canada for Dupuytren’s disease
Assessment of Radiotherapy in the management of Dupuytren’s Disease
Scientific title : Dupuytren’s disease Evaluation Adjuvant Radiation Therapy (DEPART)
Currently, treatment for early phase Dupuytren’s Disease is often observation and in the later phase of the condition, treatment is surgery. In this randomised controlled trial, after Needle Aponeurotomy (NA) treatment will be allocated as follows:
- Observation or
- Radiation Therapy

Patients in Quebec who believe they may be eligible for a fasciotomy but do not have one scheduled can ask their doctor to send a referral by fax to (514) 412-7851, stating that they wish to be assessed for the clinical trial.
